Mediation is a means of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). It is a quick, effective and professional way of resolving issues between parties whilst maintaining relationships.
Being a Chartered Land Surveyor, trained expert witness and Mediator is a highly effective combination to employ in boundary dispute resolution. Mediation is relevant not only in neighbour, property and boundary disputes but also a wide variety of civil and commercial disputes. It can even be applied even after court proceedings have started with a stay order.
Without Prejudice, it is conducted in confidence outside of formal litigation and allows greater flexibility in achieving a private jointly beneficial outcome. As a result costs and timescales are significantly reduced compared to going to court.
Alternatively you may simply need to apply the process to internal employment or team issues as a means of increasing group effectiveness and productivity.
